Semi Finals of Dorsets Business Mother of the Year 2012

Can you believe it! Firstly I was nominated then I made it through to the Semi Finals of Dorset’s Business Mother of the Year 2012 run by Venus Women Awards.
Today I was invited to go to the beautiful Langtry Manor Hotel and give a 1 minute speech on film about who I am and what I do. I was absolutely fine until the filming began… then the nerves kicked in big time. Tara, who is running the Venus Awards, was really lovely and deserves a medal herself for her patience. I really hope they don’t show my bloopers – they were BIG ones. All in all it was a fantastic day, Spring Equinox is fresh in the air and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
It certainly was a life experience I will never forget. It would be lovely to make it to the Finals but if not, then it isn’t meant to be – besides the working mothers I did chat to were all wonderful and all so deserving – I don’t think there really can be just one winner.
Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter pages for updates. I should hear in a week or so if I made it through to the Finals. Fingers and toes crossed.
